NEW! Video guide to new software updates

Please note the following updates have been made to your Xpos service – Tweaks and improvements to help you get the most out of Xpos and make running the shop just the little bit easier.

Updates happen automatically so there is nothing for you to do.  If you have any queries please contact us via support@xpos.co.uk

1. Expired/fully redeemed vouchers

When attempting to use a voucher that has already been redeemed, or is expired, Xpos will now show a warning message.

2. Shop logo on receipts and vouchers

You can now add your shop logo to the top of printed sales receipts and gift vouchers.  To do this, go to Settings, Advance Options, Emails and Receipts.

** Please note the ability to add your logo to email receipts  and vouchers is on its way **

3. Product bundles

More editing options are now available in the Bundle area.  This includes editing prices, tags and brands for multiple products at once.

4. Always open till drawer

Regardless of the type of transaction, or method of payment used, you can now choose to enable the till drawer to open for every sale.

This is a terminal-level option, meaning you can opt in or out of this across different terminals.

5. Customer capture

Collecting customer data is key as it provides valuable insights into preferences and purchase behaviour. This, in turn, gives retailers chance to make better buying decisions and tailor marketing efforts.

Your Xpos system now has an option to force staff to collect customer details when the customer spends over a specific, pre-set amount.  See below.

Click here to find out how.

6. Export VAT

There is now a toggle in the Sales screen which will switch from your normal VAT rate to an Export VAT rate for sales to non-EU customers.

Always refer to HMRC guidance around VAT.

To set this up, email us via support@xpos.co.uk

7. Added product tags to price bands

Retailers can now choose to apply a Price Band discount to a range of products that have no common attribute.

For example, you can tag any unsold products with the tag “Clearance” and add them to a 25% discount Price Band.   Or, if you have a particularly good deal on a specific item from a supplier, you may wish to pass this onto customers.

This update means you can tag groups of individual products, rather than sub groups.

8. Label quantities

When printing labels from the product screen, Xpos now suggests a quantity to print.  This is based on current stock levels.

9. Stock Valuation report

The Stock Valuation report displays your current volume, value and percentage of stock, along with the stock turn calculation.   It can help you understand stock levels by brand or product group.  It’s a great one to help you see if you are over- or understocked.

We’ve now updated this report – optimising it to make it faster and more efficient.

We hope you find these latest software updates a useful addition to your Xpos system. As always please get in touch via support@xpos.co.uk with any queries.
